About Our Doctors

Valley Orthodontics is fortunate to have three doctors to care for our patients.

Dr. Tom Hartman, Valley Orthodontics, Wasilla, AlaskaDr. Tom Hartman graduated with honors from the University of Texas Dental School and completed a two-year post-graduate orthodontic program as well. He and his family moved to Anchorage with the Air Force and decided that Alaska was the ideal place to live and raise a family. Dr. Hartman became the first American Association of Orthodontists board certified private practice orthodontist in Alaska in 1985.

Dr. Michael Koropp, Valley Orthodontics, Wasilla, AlaskaDr. Michael Koropp was born in Anchorage and graduated from West High School. He received his dental training at the Oregon Health Sciences University and graduated with honors in 1981. After practicing general dentistry for two years, he returned to OHSU for his orthodontic specialty certification. He is a past president of both the Alaska State Society of Orthodontists and the Anchorage Dental Society.

Dr. Tom Hartman, Valley Orthodontics, Wasilla, AlaskaDr. Brian Hartman was also born and raised in Anchorage. He graduated with high honors from the Oregon Health Sciences University dental school in 1999 and completed his orthodontic residency at OSHU in 2001. While in school he was elected to the OKU Honor Society and was awarded the Stephen Pigleow award from OSHU by faculty and students in 1999. Dr. Hartman is currently president of the Anchorage Dental Society.

All three doctors maintain active membership in the Alaska Dental Society, American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. They also regularly attend continuing education courses to bring you the latest developments in orthodontic treatment.
